Default Work 11R's - AP1

As a preface, I like the way AP2 stock wheels look. I am NOT going for "fresh" or "ultra flush" or anything of the sort, just shooting for the AP2 look on my MY01 with a different wheel than the AP2v1/2.

Right now I'm on stock 16's for AP1 at stock height (but might lower on S-Tech in future), but looking to upgrade to the following:

Front -

Work Emotion 11R Wheel - 17x7.0 / 5x114.3 / +47
Yokohama S.Drive - 215/45R-17 91W XL B

Rear -

Work Emotion 11R Wheel - 17x8.0 / 5x114.3 / +47
Yokahama S.Drive - 245/40R-17 91Y BW

I assume I'll be ok with no fender work as they're pretty close to stock - but let me know if you guys think different (that would suck to purchase online and be screwed when it got here). Also, how will this affect the speedometer on the AP1? I know it will be off, but how drastically? Will there be any other negative side-effects?

I appreciate the help. Cheers.

EDIT: Wheels have been mounted and pictures posted below. They were taken with a camera phone as my brother borrowed the "good" camera for a vacation - I'll take better pictures in the next few weeks if wanted.

They are being shipped. I will post pics or PM you if you'd like more information.

Went with Matte Black with the above specs.

Sounds good, post some pics when you get them as I'd really like to see how they look. I'm after glym silver or WMB though

Looks good! I'd say you got the look you wanted. Better than I thought it would be actually. Now just a drop and it should look really good. No center caps?

Works come in a lot of good sizes, but for the price are heavier than other options. I will likely be going with the Enkei PF01 in black or the OZ Allegerita in black.

I agree, coilovers are my next investment - but it's a project car so little pieces at a time. No, sadly the center caps are bright white and OEM of course do not fit.

They are a tad heavier than other competitors, but not as heavy as I thought. I agree, Enkei are nice, but EVERYONE has Enkei (including the entire RX-7 and half S2k's up here) and I was going for something a little different. They're good DD wheels and 'feel' a lot better than my AP1's.

But as you said, wheels are like women - everyone has their own opinion on what they want, and you just keep trading them in until you find ones you truly love (or until they get stolen)...
