work s2r size and offset
I'm planning on buying the s2r and am trying to find the right sizes, i've heard from some to go with 18x7.5F and 18x8.5R or 18x8F and 18x9R. So which one of these are the right fitment?
You can go 18 X 9" in the rear with a +63 and a 18 X 8" in the front with a +51 offset. That what my Meister S2R's are.
The offset for our car is actually the most significant number--more so that just rim width etc..
Also, remember that different tire manufacturers have different "footprints" , or contact patches, meaning that a Dunlop (for example) with a relatively small tread contact patch may need a 265-35 X 18" in for a 9" rear wheel, but a Bridgestone S02 may only need a 245-40 X18" for the same wheel, so that is also important as far as knowing what tire is applicable....
Hope that helps.
