I wasn't impressed by them. Not enough dry grip...especially compared to RE050s. They also seemed to have more sidewall flex. They did seem to last long. I guess that's the trade-off.

I have been considering them too. They seem to be a pretty good compromise of price/grip/wear.

My co-worker has them on his Z4. Sized in 225/40r18 and 255/35r18. He says he's satified with their performance for the price last time I spoke with him.

its a good DD tire for a good price. IMO very comparable to the falken FK452 in all aspects.

I have a brand new set that I haven't put on my car yet. I'm a bit concerned with the sizing I chose; I guess I'll have to wait and see.

The Yokohama S. Drive is by far the best tire I've ever owned. It has more grip than anything I've ever had, makes zero noise when pushed hard, lasts plenty long (the 300 treadwear rating ain't lying) and looks really good mounted on my O.Z. rims. Oh, and a great price too!

I'm running 225/40/18's front and 265/35/18's rear, so I've got a lot of tire stuffed under not much car. That of course makes it seem super grippy. Still, I'm really surprised that there are people here and on tirerack.com that are not impressed with these tires.

The OEM tires on my AP1 were decent, but nowhere near this level of grip. Switching to the S. Drive (in the sizes I'm running) definitely expanded the car's performance envelope in every direction. Seriously, I can't break them loose without doing ridiculous things, and they are dead quiet when I hurl the car around tight turns (8x - 10x daily). Love 'em!!

Just put some S.Drive tires on the back, so far they are quiet. I wanted Z1 Star specs, but the guy @ discount offered me a great deal on the S.Drives.
