Question ZE40 Purchase List double check

This is for a track dedicated CR so I can pull a set of slicks to the track some day. For now they will get some Toyo R888.

My 2 main questions are:
1. Do I want a 3mm spacer to make the rear stepped out as much as the front?
2. Most tires come in a 225 and not a 215, so according to the fitment guide this is no good. I do have max neg camber set though so should this concern me?

Volk Racing ZE40
17x7.5 / 5x114.3 / Offset +48
17x9.0 / 5x114.3 / Offset +61
Color: Matte Blue Gunmetal

Hub Centering Rings for 73.1 mm wheels (from 949 racing)
2x 64.15 mm for the rear, 2x 70.1 for the front.
  • Made from 6061-T6 aluminum
  • 73.0mm outside diameter to fit 73.1mm hub center bore wheels
  • Anodized for corrosion resistance
Rays Engineering Lug Nuts - Anodized Gun Metallic
Size: 12 x 1.5

Kics Universal Plate Spacers
Size: 3mm for the rear only.

Any other thoughts? I thought about new wheel studs, but that process sounds like a pain in the ass.

You will be fine with a 225 up front. I would advise against running spacers on track- even one as small as 3mm. Which is the maximum size that can be ran safely on oem studs. There is a new version of the Toyo r888 called r888r that was released a month or two ago. Most reviews on the original r888 on this car seem to be not so favorable. Any thought on going 17x9 +61 all around? A large majority of track guys swear by nonstaggard setup. My track and street setups are both nonstaggard.

With it being a White Delete CR I can't go as far as rolling the fenders.

I also wouldn't bother with the spacer. Keep a very close eye on those front fenders if your lowered and tracking. Hard cornering plus being lowered and even pen wheels and rub and grab.

Everything looks good to me. And I agree with everyone else. 3mm isnt going to do much honestly. From an aesthetics point of view it wont look uneven or anything. That setup you are interested in is great for an S2000 not wanting to roll fenders or anything. But like Manga said. Depending on how low you are and how hard you turn even stock wheels can catch the inner lip (ask me how I know lol).

Here are some pics of an R&J Edition S2000 with the same specs:

It's been a while coming, but I think the ze40 is worth the wait. Thanks everyone for checking it out.
