RE760 owners/previous owners assemble
I'm looking into the RE760's from Bridgestone as they are one of the few that are offered in the size i'm looking for [205/45 | 245/40], anyone have any experience with them?
I don't track my car, I am however a spirited driver.

I wouldn't limit my tire selection based on a specific desired size.
Why do you want slightly narrower/shorter fronts?

I just put a set of 760s on my AP2 and love them! I don't have any intentions of trackinig my car either; best evidenced by my wheel selection, which are 18" HRE 540Rs (8.5" front/10.5" rear). I have 225/40 and 265/35 tires, respectively. I've found that they grip well during spirited driving in the dry and the wet. But I like them most, in my set up, because they are extremely quiet and smooth. I've had many different brands over the years, especially as a tire retailer, and highly endorse the 760s as one of many alternatives worth serious consideration, especially as a daily driver.

i feel that sidewall is a bit soft on them, traction is decent for a low performance summer tire. this meaning that its a bit slow in responsiveness and feedback isnt that great either. however, i still think they are a great choice for budget summer tires and since they are assymetrical you can rotate left to right. they are a great alternatives to kuhmo ecstas, dz101 etc
they should be plenty for spirited driving, and even ok for track use. ppl always think you need very aggressive tires for the track, but thats untrue, its how close to the limit you can drive your tires to that matters, that being said, they're fine for track use.

I have them. There's a lot more void in the tread than you'd expect in the pictures. They're a definite compromise tire, you give up traction for longer tire life. Still pretty fun to slide around though. They have grip like a typical all-season tire, but hopefully with longer tread life.
A friend used my car to test an autocross course with them, he proclaimed them the worst tires ever.

They're okay. It's not as big of a performance tire, but if you want something that will go more than 10,000 miles it isn't a bad choice.
For the money, I think there are better tires out there.
