Default Tecnomagnesio wheels, anybody?

These are the right width for an S2000, offset I do not know, or weight either. Does anyone have this information? I am thinking of buying these for my S2000, but might just get Volk CE28s.

I mean if they truly are NSX spec they might be ok to run on the S2000. Is this the same set?

Used JDM Technomagnesio (NSX SPEC) 17x7.5 17x9 5x114.3 Wheels NA1 NA2

Looks like it. I would maybe contact them and see if they can provide an offset. I am not finding much info on that model specifically though. Seems NSX guys do run their wheels but I see more of the 6 spoke ones.

Wait is this maybe the same set? Hm no the rash is different.

If it is the same set or maybe a similar set the offsets listed are Specs: 17x7.5 (16lbs) / 17x9R (18 lbs), ~ET: FF 44, RR 42. So +44 in front and +42 in the rear. Definately doable on the S2000 with a fender roll and tab relo but you won't need crazy pulls or camber. Decently light as well. I would still contact the seller and see if they can confirm the offset before dropping $2500 on a used set of wheels.

I'm thinking the same thing, I googled and found the same links you did. The seller isn't being helpful, I messaged him, lol, and doesn't seem willing to put them on a scale or use a measuring tape. It's a shame, I think those would look bad af on my black S2k.

Thanks for the input, I don't know much about fender rolling and tab relocation though, I suspect that old NSX wheel FS thread is accurate. But for $2500 I don't want to take a chance, you're right. Tempting though.

I already asked the guy, nicely, twice, and now he's rattling off more bad info. He actually asked why I wanted to know the weight.

Yup thats the same person as the link I posted to s2carbonworks. Interesting. Maybe ask for a picture of the back of the wheels? At least a picture of the back on one of each size. Usually there is a stamp with the offset but there may not be. On one hand they are unique which makes them appealing but on the other they are pricey for a used wheel (I mean I have seen sets of volks for less) and if you ever went to sell them you'd likely have a harder time selling them than you would a set of volks or other well know wheel. I think if they were under $2k it would be a different story but I have seen new sets of volks, advans, etc sell for that price or less.

Are they made out of magnesium? Its lighter then aluminum.

Not a particularly attractive looking wheel for the s2k though inmop.

What happens when you damage one wheel? The whole set becomes boat anchor...

they are exceptionally light. I've s2 carbon works shop up in dallas. the Technos do not disappoint. some times they get sets with mag lug nuts too. its not my favorite wheel but it is pretty cool and not a lot of people have them or know about them.

They are made from magnesium. His weight claims are probably accurate. It's the only reason to buy these wheels. They aren't the ugliest, nor the prettiest, but at least they're made from a super rare material.
