Default Widest wheels for stock body - Commonly available?

Hi Guys,

In my quest of getting ready for the next season, I am looking at upgrading my wheels & tires!

Currently running 17x8 +45 but I need more grip... I am looking to change over to 18" wheels to have more of a tire selection. I am looking for the widest wheels that I can fit in the stock body. I dont mind rolling, pulling fenders etc. but not looking to buy $2k worth of fenders that may get damaged in racing... I'm currently looking at Enkei RPF1s 18x9.5 +45 offset and I'd slap on Hoosier R7s in 255/35/18.

I am also looking for an affordable set of wheels. I'd rather have 2 sets than having 1 expensive "custom" set.
I am looking at "off-the-shelf" options. I looked at the 949 6UL; 17x10 +62 is tempting but there isnt much choice other than Hoosier R7s in 275. And not the biggest fan of the look of the wheels...

Can any of you think of another wheel that could suit the bill?
  • Cost efficient / off the shelf
  • 18"
  • At least a 9.5" wide
  • Fits in OEM fenders (can be heavily massaged)
thanks for your help!

Forgestar and CCW offer the widest wheels with custom offsets.

Grip & Helium Wheels | URGE designs

You could use those specs and consider forgestar wheels as well.

I will say going with 18's gives you a lot more tire choices.

A 255/295 stagger is pretty much the limit if you wan tto maximize the fender opening on this car since your open to rolling and minor pulling. I managed to squeeze a 315/35/17 in the rear without over fenders, but that's really limited to one tire that fits being an NT05. Realistically a 10"/255 front and 11/295 rear is what you can reasonably achieve. Finding the right wheel and offset is imperative to this fitment though with no real wiggle room. I just custom widened the insides of my rpf1 to the widths I needed since I started out with the max outer fitment.
