Oh and no offense to Jeggy, its not your fault, you posted something you thought people would like and you had a feeling they might not like it. So what a lot of threads dont work out. He should be left out of it. IMO.

I don't see the need for everyone to come onto this thread and bash the threadstarter... If you read his post with Openmindedness and thought critically about it, you may have gotten something out of it. It's not a bunch of politcial BS and it is certainly a valid analogy.
you guys should stop disrespecting the threadstarter and show some respect. He posted an analogy on the forum for everyone to read, and if you don't want to read it or respond to it, don't.

the original post was sent to me by my brother who happens to be a police officer for the city of denver, co. it is a copy of a speech he heard in the past. it affected him in an obviously positive way.
my brother and i have same views on many thing. sports, politics, and in life in general. he did not send it to everyone he knew but just to a select few. this speech had a positive effect on me as well. but unlike my brother i was not wise enough to keep it to the few who would understand it and appreciate it. i made the same post on 2 other forums that i am active on.
my intent was not to bring drama. this WAS something that had a positive effect on me and i wanted to share it. it obviously did not do the same for others. i apologize.
i have learned a lot here in the forums in the past few days. you will see/hear less and less of me here on s2ki.
