I checked and we will be gone during that time.

It definitely sounds like a lot of fun though!

Maybe. Maybe.

Depends if I have a job by then. I'll still be on terminal leave in the Army, so government funds will be nearing an end. I'll find out.

Here is a link to the new 2009 schedule of events. I'll be going up with my brother and sister-in-law early Friday morning.

Is there a deadline to register? I'm pretty sure I'll be there at this point-as long as I'm still employed at the time.

As long as you're not planing on taking one of the classes, no. Classes are FCFS, so I would recomend calling Down Wind Sports ASAP if you want to take one. The guy you'd want to talk to is Bill (if I remember correctly) He's one of the fest organizers and would be able to fill you in on a ton of info. Other info is listed in the schedule, which is posted in the above link.

Otherwise, you just register when you show up. There are no limmits on the number of participants in the Fest to my knowlege There's a table setup upstairs in Sydnies Shark Bay grill, you pay the $25, you get a wrist band which you need to keep on at all times until you go home, and you're all set.

If you have your own gear, bring it! Helmet, harness, boots, crampons, whatever. Otherwise, you may be asked to share with someone else less fortunate. Other nessicary gear can be rented from the Demo out desk in the morning. But it's a bit of a mob scene.

If you go, you want to meet up somewhere beforehand or meet up in Munising?

Paul
