Bored with my beater
So after 4 months, I'm already bored with my beater (1992 BMW 525i). I already threw it up on craigslist and received some interest. Now I'm hunting for a new car. Anyone know of any good cars for sale? Anyone know places besides craigslist or autotrader to find cars? Are there any cars that aren't on my list that should be?
Under consideration
-----------------------
any non-beetle VW diesel tdi
2nd gen toyota MR2
2nd gen (FC) rx-7
1st gen miata
mazda 323 gtx (awd turbo)
b16/b18/k20 swapped civic hatch/crx
b16 civic si or del sol si vtech
gsr integra
h22 prelude
svt contour
sentra se-r spec-v
impreza 2.5rs
must be less than $7500 (the less the better) and highly desire manual transmission.

i've heard nothing but bad things about the sentra spec-v's. i had a friend who had one that went through more than 1 transmission, and he had heard similar complaints from other owners.
the car looked good on paper, but didn't really live up to it, and it doesn't come with the honda/toyata reliability
my .02

iirc, svt contour have head problems.
and of course the fc3s is a GREAT car in INIT D, not so great in real life. (yes, my T2 lived to 244k miles but... it was a hard life)...
tdis are commanding a premium right now and tend to depreciate very little.
that basically just leaves the miata.

A buddy of mine had a spec v until he crashed it...which leaves me access to a running motor and other parts if I need them.
I drove another buddy of mine's svt contour and I was really impressed. Didn't feel at all like a ford. Guess I wouldn't really want to deal with head problems though.
FC's are really neat, but the average lifespan of the engine and the fuel economy turn me off.
