Default Calling all Chicago area computer experts

Is anybody in the S2k community willing to help me build a computer? I have not built one in over 10 years and I'm sick of the crappy parts in the factory models. I know just enough to get myself into trouble.

I'd love to find somebody willing to help me out for a little bit in picking out the parts and slapping this thing together.

I'm willing to buy the beer, food, whatever. I'm also willing to barter for services (I'm a CPA and it is tax time you know)

Just remember that if you never file in the first place it makes it harder for "them" to find you that if you stop filing

My budget is about $1500 (W/O monitor)

I basically need this as a general home PC for gaming, internet, maybe a secondary DVR, and some photoshop work.

I can help You build it, if You get the parts. I should be starting my build as soon as my parts arrive(+/- 2 weeks, coz I ordered them from accomdation program)
Do You know what kind of parts You want?
Intel or AMD?
Propably 7800GT would be a good choice here, 2 GB ram etc. I think You could build pretty kick ass system for that $$$,
My is a little over $3k now, but Im going to run dual 1900xt, fx-60 processor etc, I found that newegg.com has mostly lowest prices , and never has a problem if You want to return anything.

I was thinking of going with the AMD, 2GB ram, and actually I was thinking of the 7800Gt

What I'm concerned about is getting the correct motherboard and getting the OS installed.
