I would seriously look for an '08+ in the C6. It is worth it.
A C5 isn't the same thing (unless you would have gone for the Z06.) I think I'd rather have the S2000 than a C5.
In 2008 GM started offering an optional exhaust on the Coupes and Convertables that has butterfly valves built into the mufflers. They can be opened for a more aggressive sound. (They also open on their own north of 3,500 RPMs.)
There is only one cam in a C6.
Although it is more expensive to replace than you might think. Driveablilty does suffer in a car with a cam.
I'd suggest you test drive a C6 if you are interested. There is nothing that can help you evaluate it better than that.

mebbe later, i think i need to experienece all the meets and everything that it means by being an s2k owner which i barely experience d because the only REAL meet i went to was the last tuesday qdoba meet, and seeing all the s2k's was downright amazing!! and my friend that came with me was also very enthusiastic and wants to keep going to them. i think ill just put it off , i got time. the s has still a LOT of life
