I think my assessment is still spot on. Marginal but effective game for Rex, Thomas Jones had an excellent game except the fumble early in the 1st. Defense again played good, gave up a bit much on the run but held their own against a solid run team. Giants had nothing on defense. Eli stunk tonight despite having good blocking and run support. Good win for the bears.
I suspect you may see more teams leaving their deep man on 50+ yd kicks into 25 MPH gusting winds

Rex Grossman 18/30 246 yd 3 TDs 1 INT
i'll take 3 TDs any day. i haven't seen enough of eli to say he's better or worse, but as far as stats go, they're almost equal.

i'm not saying he's solely responsible for the team's win, though. like you said before, the team is dominating.
Oh and I must add that I didn't watch the game since I was too busy watching Yao and Shaq go at it on ESPN but all I have to say is......WoW for Hesters 108 yard record!
Guess he was trying to be like Vasher from last year?

okay, i agree that grossman 1st half looked terrible. but overall, marginal? disagree.

when he's playing good, *all* of grossman's throws are extremely accurate and have perfect spirals. when he's off, throws sail high, float into defender's hands, and in general suck. but...i really think that his bad games will decrease a lot (not that he's had even that many bad games so far) as he gets further into his career.

+1 to the loss column... I'm not disappointed at all, i knew it would be a tough game. What i'm disappointed of is the play calling, leave it for REX to win the game? FCVK!!! Again, offense is very predictable, i really wish they mix it up more, change it up if it ain't working. REX, lacks velocity in his throws and his placement scvks, he also needs to grow up fast to have any success in the play-offs. Recievers are having a hard time getting open, specially with the time routes. Running game was working, why not try to stick it to the Patriots more? 2/3 on the east coast is pretty good, i'm sure alot of people were expecting less. Offense and defense, expect a lot of TO in a game that the Bears are involve in.
