the guy that i'd like to see really make an impact this year is paul di resta...i like to root for the underdog.... I know that when "bob" was injured, I was hoping someone like Anthony Davidson would get another shot (although he is under contract with Puegot)...

My choice for 2011 is Webber.. but I don't thnk that will happen.... I'd like to see Nico get a win this year.... I am not a Maldonado or Petrov fan since I am not a believer of "pay for your seat" drivers.

Anyway, this should be a good season... last year was pretty good... hope more of the same this year.
di Resta seems like an odd choice. Don't know too much about him other than he came from DTM...and I don't know too much about DTM. From what I hear, Coulthard and Hakkinen only do okay there which leads me to believe it's an entirely different animal...or maybe it's that much more challenging (I doubt it). Don't think anyone driving a Force India will be championship contender for at least a few more years. They are showing quite a bit of promise for the middle-pack teams though.
DiResta is my choice because he is the cousin of Dario Franchitti (and Marino) and also I saw him do very well coming up... DTM is an interesting series because really, it's Audi versus Mercedes so you see a lot of very talented drivers since they are driving very similar cars...I think Force India with MB power will continue to prove strong.... and I thnk as they get more and more experience (because we know money isn't the issue) I tink they will continue to creep up through the mid-pack.

Cool. I didn't know DiResta was related to the Franchitti's. I've been a fan of Marino's for 3 days now because of the 12 Hours of Sebring

Marino

I was fortunate enough to take Dario around the track at MidOhio prior to the Indy 200 there 2 years ago.. (no need to mention who I got stuck taking around the track last year.. ).... Dario was super nice.. he was waving to the fans, thanking the safety crews as they stood around and waved, etc... he was very nice... I met him again last year and again, very thankful for having the opportunity to race, etc ....

I've seen interviews with Paul and he seems to be cut from the same cloth.... hopefully F1 won't change that ...

Oh. Speaking of buying your way into motorsports lol. You should have gone super slow and let the faster cars by...you know, to show her that it can be done.

The ESPNF1 app for the iPhone is actually really pretty cool (and free.) There is some stuff in there about the Friday practice from Australia, but nothing else yet except the schedule. So I'll have to see how it does with race information, but I am reasonably impressed so far. It does include a track map of each track with the names of the famous corners and some stats about the track.

I have a few F1 apps for Android. Watched Brazil 2010 in a bar and it was good to have live timing and commentary feed. Only useful on the rare occasions I get watch F1 live.
