If an engine is under 49cc, do you only require a valid drivers license or do you have to get an IL class L license (motorcycle under 150cc)

Just a question, I still have to decide if it is worth the humilation at work arriving on a moped. 100 miles per gallon is attractive though. At least for the non-winter months.

Would it be more manly if there were flame decals down the side. probably not.

If I remember correctly, you don't need a motorcycle license for anything 49cc and smaller. Just a regular driver's license.

From the IL Motorcycle book:

[QUOTE]MOPED OPERATORS
Motorized pedalcycles, often called mopeds, are low-speed, two-wheeled vehicles. They can be pedaled like a bicycle or driven like a motorcycle. Mopeds are intended for limited use on public roadways. Moped drivers must carry a valid driver

Yamaha is coming out with the C3 in November. Its got a huge boot for putting groceries and other stuff. Plus its priced at $1999 which is the same as the ruckus.

I do like the styling of the Ruckus but you there are no areas for storing ish.
