Default Place to eat in Chicago?

Im taking the woman out next weekend and i want to eat somewhere nice/new. Anybody have any good suggestions? Not too worried about price since were bauwlin, but dont wanna go nuts either. Basically i wanna go somewhere close to the northside or navy pier since were heading there afterwards, thats chill and relaxing environment, and thats not too loud. So you classy mofo's speak up!

Perennial at the corner of Clark/Lincoln Ave./Wells. You'll need to make reservations.

1800 N. Lincoln Ave.
Chicago, IL 60614-5812
312-981-7070

Went there two weeks ago, great food and a nice outside seating area. If you are up for a walk, is not far for a leisurely walk to Navy Pier.

Huskergirl and her hubby are the "classiest mofo's" I know. Especially when it comes to dining.

There's a huge selection in that area. What kind of food did you have in mind? Is there anything you don't/won't eat? Is this a first date?

McDonald's. Seriously. You don't want to set the bar too high, because then she will expect it every time.

The Signature Room is so overrated . . . you can find better food for $15 in a lot of restaurants. Grand Lux is nice, it's a chain, but still a nice restaurant, they have great dishes, and great desserts.
