I'm guessing you've finally watched it then, or I should've put my post in spoiler tags

I did see it, and this thread is all spoiler, all the time. I watched the race Sunday night. If I didn't want to see your comment, I wouldn't have clicked the link.

On FB? That's just evil. But here, post away.

Just checking

I did enjoy the race. Lewis backing up the traffic made it interesting, regardless of what people are saying. I'm sure there's bias for me as I like Lewis, but I don't think another driver in the same situation would've done any differently.

The wider tires for next season look interesting, they're definitely wide. I wish they'd get away from more aero though, I'd like to see the cars able to race wheel to wheel again.

IMHO, I would not have placed Rosberg in the top five by any means. But then again, I'm not an F1 boss.

I think at the end of the day, my opinion aside, Nico is WDC. The arguments that LH had a mechanically flawed machine is like saying Ricciardo should have won Monaco even though his team made a poor pitt strategy. Mechanical issues, strategic misses, car setup misses, all are a byproduct of F1 racing. That's what happens when you put so many variables like chassis, aero, engine (sorta), etc.

PS. If I had my way, Jensen wins wdc. Jk. I would have preferred Lewis.

I absolutely agree! Let's not forget that two years ago the championship went down to Abu Dhabi with LH in the lead -- Nico had a chance to win it all if he would have finished first and LewLew fourth iirc and Nico's car broke down, assuring LH the championship. It's all part of the game. To get as close as he did given all the mechanical issues, LH definitely proved himself a better driver.

Also, I think that if he would have figured out how to start a race the right way earlier in the season, he'd have easily walked away with the big trophy. I bet he's kicking himself for that.

Yeah his poor starts certainly didn't help one bit, and that's on him.

I agree that LH's poor starts were his fault, and were a big problem. However, Nico driving INTO cars on purpose, or failing to turn and forcing them to drive into him should have hurt him more. He reminds me of Prost "rules lawyering" and weaseling his way to the championship.
