I kept waiting for Seb to catch up and pass him and it never happened, same for Lewis. It was a really odd race, no one was doing anything mildly impressive.

I was waiting for Max to crash again though

And yet again. I feel asleep after Alonso retired.

These races are getting somewhat lame.

I realize not all races will be great. But this whole everybody driving to save the cars BS has to stop. Whether it's saving tires, or saving fuel, or saving the engine, it's a short endurance race, not a sprint race. Then you go to LeMans where you have to sprint a 24 hour race. This is the problem I had with the race.

With the rules the way they are though, teams have to conserve the engines or they get hit with penalties. I don't agree with it one bit, it's called a race for a reason, they should be racing.

I agree completely. I get saying the engine has to go the whole weekend or you get a grid penalty. The goal of that was to stop having mechanics staying late switching the qualifying engine out for the race engine. But I don't get the no new engine after each weekend. They take the engine out and inspect it anyway. If a team wants 10 engines for the year than cool with me.

Unlimited # of engines and tires for each race. F it. I think the tires also need to be made so they only last 15-20 laps, and make it some weird compound so that they cool off significantly (from driving slow) and grip is gone. Make the buggers drive the wheels off the car every lap.

I'm excited for France. Montreal was...boring (the race, not the city, I loved the city but I have no desire to ever attend another F1 race)

Le Mans was decent. I'm hopeful France is a good one.
