Yep, not a Vettel fan at all.

I appreciated the sentiment from Lewis in the post race interview, he felt really bad for Nico, not many drivers would be the same.

Including Seb, apparenly.
What an ass.

I suspect Ferrari is covering for Alonzo to prevent a penalty in the next race. Bad call to stay out.

Lewis pulling into the McLaren pit was EPIC!

Maybe a signal to McLaren or Mercedes to change it up on the liveries and pit uniforms. It's too damn confusing for all of us. Including the drivers.

Indeed, the term I'd use is 'prick'. Did you see his disingenuous "apology" to weber in the green room? maaaan if Newey hadn't have been there i bet it would have come to blows. lots of arguments flowing around the web saying you have to be 'ruthless' to win championships and comparing it to the senna/proust era... to that I say: it's the second race of the season. championship was NOT on the line. And: senna/proust was a duel between two multiple-time champions in a different era -- Weber has played a consummate second-fiddle to Vettel's charge these last three years; different scenario entirely. I hope they had separate flights out of KL, otherwise somebody's going out the side of the plane at 35,000 feet.

Yeah, even that was a little disingenuous... it was nice to see him and Nico hug it out before Lewis climbed the steps to the podium -- speaks to the maturity of those guys, which I certainly didn't expect given Lewis' past.

Alonso is a company man, through and through. I suspect they asked for his input, and seeing as how he was able to hold Weber off with the busted front wing (which he can't see from the cockpit), he elected to stay out and put some slicks on a lap later. The mistake was in engineering -- they COULD see the damage and shouldn't have even given him the choice. He absolutely would have followed orders, had they been given.

That being said, he himself drove like an asshole running into the back of Vettel three times in the first few corners -- that's not called for. He was driving mad, which is never good for anything. I wonder if the pressure of Massa out-qualifying him for what, four races in a row now? is getting to him...

I suspect he'll be issued a grid penalty in China for causing a dangerous situation. Whether he or his engineers made the call is immaterial -- that could have really hurt somebody and shouldn't be allowed. Looking at the situation as an Alonso fan, I think it was stupid and the team deserves a penalty. I just hope that it doesn't cause two straight no-points races for him -- could really destroy his season, presuming RBR keeps the hammer down.

I could not believe my eyes -- I was impressed by how well the McLaren pit crew did in waving him on -- it was like it was rehearsed. Nicole Scherzinger's reaction was pretty priceless too.

I did hear that Vodafone dropped their title sponsorship of McLaren, effective next year, over concerns of negative publicity surrounding the Bahrain GP -- maybe Petronas can step in and REALLY confuse poor little Lewis!

Boy, did my fantasy team take a beating this week...

I'd be tempted to tell them to pound sand too.

I can't remember a driving leaving a team mid-season since Proust was ousted at Ferrari for complaining about the car?

Voluntarily? No. But the back markers seem to change drivers every now and again.
