I was sooooooo happy that my wheels came in. I saw them in person for the first time today! I was soooo excited to see what they looked like on the car.

But the weekend I get all my stuff to actually get my car on the road-- IT HAS TO SNOW!!! 6-9 inches, and be cold and snowy THE WHOLE FREAKING WEEK!!!!

So I can't even install my brakes without help because I've never done it before to this depth. And I'd rather have someone who knows what they're doing watching over my shoulder in case I do something stupid. (like forget to loosen the nuts on ALL four wheels before starting to remove calipers. )

Oh, yeah, I'm not done yet. So I was just grinning with glee to see my wheels for the first time. Then I found out that Mackin Industries screwed up my order. They sent the wrong lug nuts- so I couldn't even install them. I could just look at them and think about how big the hole in my wallet that they blew was . But wait --- there's more: They also sent the wrong center caps. Not only did they not fit, they were the wrong type/style.

And one more minor little gripe- They sent me a broken centering ring.

So I have to wait even more time before that stuff gets shipped to me.

Brakes are simple. Tell us what you are unsure about.

Brakes ARE simple, but it's ALWAYS best to have someone else there the first time you do them to make sure they are done right.

when people on the s2k talk forum blame the s2000 spin outs on tires, rain, tricky rear end and everything else except for the real problem, driver error!

Nope, I say "Vih-stuh"... I also say "lih-nuhx", but it bugs me when my friend says "lie-nuhx".

The snow storm will only bug me if it sticks around, since I'm back on my summers now. I have no need to drive in the near future, so I'm OK keeping 'er in the garage.

Some say "tow-may-tow" some say "tow-maa-tow" . . . Some say potato, some say spuds . . . it doesn't really matter, people have a pretty good idea what others are talking about.
