Dunno. GTI and a Golf R are pretty much the same car, R has more power and AWD. I would've thought for sure the R would be more.

 

No, for sure not theft. I looked at the policy itemization, Comprehensive portion of the policy (which would cover theft/vandalism/damage while parked) is nearly identical to my S2000. Huge difference is in collision and liability. That means there's data out there showing GTI's are twice as likely to be in a car accident than my other cars. I think I need to post/offer some driving lessons on the VW forums.

Maybe the V-dubs just aren't very safe when they DO get into accidents. Or they may be VERY expensive to repair.
That is CRAZY expensive though.

This makes sense to me. My guess is the R is still being sold at a premium, where-as there's a lot of older GTIs owned by wanna-be boy racers and the like.

I'd say (older model) GTI owners are often some of the douchiest on the road.

 

goddamn telligent community software is the fcuking WORST SOFTWARE in the world. I cannot for the life of me understand why my company keeps spending gobs of money on this crap when they should just throw it away and start fresh with Wordpress. Dammit.
