They call it the James bond because it is what he wore with an old omega watch in one of the earlier bond movies. Ever since the black/silver combo has been coined the James bond!

I dig it. And everyone at work is now beginning to comment on my almost daily watch change haha

I haven't worn a watch in years (I look at my phone when I need to know the time); so, I thought I'd never have a need to post in this thread...

...then I saw this:

Unfortunately, the $6,700 price tag makes me cringe, but otherwise, I think it's pretty sweet!

I feel any phrase similar to "i look at my phone when i want to tell the time" is very silly. To me it is akin to saying " i use a rope tied around my pants to hold them up. Or, "i wear a berlap sack as a shirt". Watches to me are much more than the simple act of seeing the relation of moons orbit around the earth ie: telling time. Its an art, there's craftsmanship involved, automatic movements are beautiful, materials used, composition...its honestly a functional piece of art. They are an accessory that can dress up, down, or turn upside down any look. To me, they are one of the few things that i would rather have than a "nice car", at any level.

Sometimes i ponder selling my s2k for a nice watch such as an AP or PP (partial haha).... but then i realize i am only 24, and there are many good days ahead where i can purchase heirloom quality time pieces.

To each his own - thats what makes this world tick (pun intended)

Trust me, if I thought a burlap sack could function well as a shirt, I would wear it! :-)

Joking aside, I understand the art in watches, just like any jewelry, I just don't wear any. If I didn't understand it, I probably would not have even posted the phone.

Haha I hear where you're coming from from both the functional stand point with burlap. I'd wear something similar if it was truly functional.

I wasn't into jewelry until I started to by my ex nice stuff. She has some items now, watch included that she can wear for quite some time with pride...... Again like you said, there is an art, and as with all art the joy and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. To each his or her own :-)

Hey if you find a sweet burlap sweater let me know. We can start a new trend. Again thanks for posting the vid

Cheap ass watch winder I got off slickdeals.net. Few settings and seems quiet so gets good rating so far.

The blue actually is enough light to charge the lumes. So I can dig it. Well see how long it lasts.

On a side note it would make an awesome kids night light !
