See, that's one watch I have no desire to own, too many fakes about.

 

You have an advantage though - with your world travels you could get it from it's originating country & be assured of authenticity.

 

Strangely, I find their designs to be very stale, and unappealing. I appreciate them, more than desire them

 

It's not just the fake part, I just don't like them or the image they portray. Too much like an old man's or old money watch.

since I come from neither old money or money, nor am I old (although I feel pretty old this morning).... I look at the watch and just appreciate the fact that it looks cool. I like the black face with the green in the back... something really cool about it to me... the pricetag, yeah..not so much.. but I like the look of it.

I agree with the "too many fakes" out there but there are also a ton of fakes of every watch... obviously Rolex leads that race but I saw my friend send me a pic from HK.. fake Piaget... and it looks real...

personally, as long as I know I'm not buying a fake or wearing a fake, I'm not worried about it... I don't do fake... if I'm going to dump money into a fake watch, I'll buy a lower priced watch of a different brand or I'll save till I can afford it.

I don't know what it is about them, I like the Daytona as a watch, but I just couldn't bring myself to buy a Rolex.
