While I had the fender off, i installed foam to block all the tiny rocks from collecting on the frame rail. Gravel next to the turbo inlet is disturbing. lol

Thankfully, the damage was only cosmetic, I had to pull the compressor cover off and the fans out. Turns out the SPAL fans were not allowing enough clearance for the turbo to be clocked in the right spot. So, it modified the fan shroud for more clearance. Sorry no pics of that..

Remember the foam blocks over the fender? I did that because this area was PACKED full of rocks. This is after vacuuming it, so nasty.

So fresh! So clean! And now with more clearance!

I took the car for a test drive and wow! so much quieter now. I Cant wait to get the exhaust tweaked a little and then it will be only clutch buzz and turbo noises. LOL. I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving with Family! I spent mine doing this.

As my fellow sidewinder turbo manifold owners can attest. they vibrate and buzz and its annoying. I came up with a clever way to deal with it that is flexible, applies continuous pressure, and is easily replaceable.

I am using a hood dampener and an engine torque brace. The Vband clamp is temporary, i'll have someone weld in a tab for it to attach to soon.

the best part is: i was able to use factory threaded hole to mount the dampener.

A new coupler and a little bit more tweaking and I finally have enough room so the turbo cold side doesnt touch the frame
