Modern Honda Styling

With seemingly every artist known to man conjuring up renderings of a modernized S2000 these days, we're being treated to a steady flow of ideas that could wind up one day becoming a reality. In the meantime, we have even more new renderings of a potential S2000 revival to check out thanks to the folks at ACG Design, who recently lent the roadster a squared-off look that mimics modern Honda styling.

Square Jaw

It's quite a radical departure from the somewhat rounded S2000 we know and love, as well as more aggressive in terms of its overall appearance. The front end is quite a bit different, with a more menacing look that includes additional air intakes for cooling purposes.

Improvement?

Slimmer LED headlights cap off the look, which is decent, in our opinion. We'd like to see less of a "nose" than this rendering sports, but styling is subjective, as they say. However, we are digging the wider fenders the artist added to this particular rendering, which makes the S2000 look more muscular.

Sharper Sides

A classic set of five-spoke wheels only enhances the look of the car, along with some new aero and sharper body lines than the original version. The door handles have been revised and are still flush, albeit a bit smaller, while a reimagined rear decklid adds some Porsche 911 Speedster vibes to the S2000, too.

Proper Path

Overall, we think that ACG did a nice job with these renderings, and quite a few commenters feel like this should actually be the next-gen S2000. We aren't totally sure about that, but we do like the fact that this designer utilized modern Honda styling cues to reimagine the roadster, and we feel like that's precisely what the automaker will do it if decides to bring it back.
