Stanced S2000 Is a Love It Or Hate It Proposition

The owner of this stanced S2000 certainly loves it, but it will undoubtedly cause mixed reactions elsewhere.

Pushing the Envelope

In the world of automotive trends, few are more controversial than "stanced" vehicles. Essentially, the idea is to give a vehicle an aggressive wheel and tire fitment, often with super low-profile stretched rubber and basically zero wheel well space. But in recent years, stanced has been used to describe vehicles with aggressive camber settings, to the point where maybe an inch of rubber is making contact with the pavement. And in that regard, Just2kin's stanced Honda S2000 certainly fits the bill.

Bad Idea?

Detractors of the stanced movement obviously don't like the way it looks, but often point to multiple reasons as to why it's a terrible idea as well. Aside from breaking parts, you're also going to extremes in terms of concentrating tire wear on one tiny area. But in reality, folks that own stanced cars don't care about such things. They're only doing it for one reason and one reason only - to attract attention and look good.

Tucked In

Just2kin is obviously aware of the hate people have for stanced cars, and he doesn't care. But why should he? He's clearly pleased with the way his super clean roadster turned out, and that's all that matters. In terms of how these cars are judged by their peers, he's got a real winner on his hands, as the lips of those multi-piece BBS wheels are tucked perfectly up against the bodywork with little to no room to spare.

Contrasting Combo

Air suspension helps in that regard, giving the body of the beautifully blue Honda the ability to tuck itself down as low as possible over the special set of wheels and tires for the perfect stance. The wheels themselves are certainly fit for showing off, thanks to white centers, polished lips, and red center caps that provide just a bit of contrast.

End Goal

None of that will change the minds of folks that hate stanced cars, of course. But then again, it doesn't have to. Just2kin doesn't care if you like his car or not, and why should he? The car customization world is all about building a vehicle that you like unless you're just into pleasing others. And if truly was the end goal here, he certainly appears to have achieved it.
