Default Autoleads Adaptor Lead PC99-X61

I've just fitted a Pioneer HU, and I'm having problems with the adaptor lead for the dashboard controls. The above lead is supposed to fit cars up to 2006, but mine is a MY06 model with the fly by wire throttle, etc, and the supplier doesn't think this lead will work.

Can anyone tell me if this is correct?

Many thanks

Mike

Quite a lot of people have had problems with these. If the useless bloody search was working, you'd be able to find something.

Fortunately, Google works and I found this post, which contains some useful links: https://www.s2ki.com/...st__p__21121412

People have had better results with this one: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/ict-...l-adaptor.html along with this: http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/inca...r-adaptor.html

Thanks for the prompt response, LG. My problem lies with the fact that all of the cars (as far as I can see) in the older threads are earlier models. I can't find anyone who has tried this lead with an MY06.

I'd be amazed if there was any difference. The Modifry DCI is the same for all model years and works in all cars. On that basis, there's no reason why it wouldn't work in an MY06.

Various sites have it listed as working for all MYs as well. Supplier BS methinks.

Mines 55 reg car, and the autoleads adaptor was a load of tosh.

Ended up throwing it out and buying a celcus one which worked first time and has much less wiring bulk than the autoleads one.

Bought the celcus lead from caraudiodirect.co.uk

LG.

Those two celsus part numbers you put up there, would they be suitable for a 2001 model? Can get them through my work for half that price.

Should be, there's no difference across all the model years. Just make sure you get the appropriate 2nd adapter for your make of head unit.
