Default SOS TS Max Turbo Kit Build Thread

I have sold my SOS stage 2 sc kit and have decided to try out the new TS Max kit. After parting out everything I had it made total sence to go this route. I should receive the kit in three weeks and will give a thorough review on it

I opted for the GTX3576R turbo along with the mac solenoid. My three inch to twin 2.5 inch header back exhaust system should compliment the turbo system very nicely. I should stress that this car is being built to be used on road courses, so turbo response is what I am after, not high whp numbers. I went for the 3576 over the 3076 because I did not want to be limited on power if I were to ever build the engine, I would have hated to have to buy two turbochargers. I will have a tune for 375ish whp for road racing and a 450ish whp for the street.

I am expecting this kit to fit flawlessly and have excellent response. I imagine installing the manifold and turbo will be a little tricky.

I also need to shop for a new catch can setup, something baffled for sure. Any recommendations that can keep the puke tank and cruise control in the stock location? I encourage and comments or ideas to be posted

I can't wait to see your results. Do an e85 tune as well so we can see what the SOS kit can really put out with the gtx3576r. I'm sure you will love the Superior bottom/mid range power compared to your old supercharger setup.

I will not be running e85. I have 93 octane with up to 10% ethanol in my area. Ive talked to my tuner about a race gas tune but he does not want to risk anything with my engine being stock. So, 450 will be my high hp goal for now

I agree camuman. The reviews look good and the kit is well designed.

I sold the sc stage 2 kit because I got a good amount of money for everything, plus I sold the header for a good chunk too. So finacially it made sence to do it, only a couple hundred out of pocket to get the added mac solenoid and gtx3576r turbo. Now I theoretically just need to pay for a tune and get my exhaust collector enlarged to match the downpipe.

I have had an aftermarket turbocharged car before and I liked it, and the blower suited the s2000 well, but I just want to try this out and when things financially line up (which it usually does NOT), you have got to do it.

Cool and understandable. I ran a turbo on my old s2k so yea you will love it for sure. Im going either this turbo kit or there blower kit not sure which would be better for the track and the build I plan so time will tell I guess.

Awesome!! Can't wait for your review. I'm really leaning toward this kit especially since its been proven on the race track. I couldn't make up my mind about going sos supercharged for FI reliability or turbo charged. Now Sos has answered my prayers for a track proven turbo kit!! Please keep us posted.

A few weeks ago I was heavily considering doing exactly what you did... sell my SC setup and buy this kit. I decided to keep the SC. I'm ready for you to show me why I made the wrong decision, lol.
