Default anti roll bar drop links

I noticed the rear felt a little bit soft recently but with rubbish weather and tyres with only 2mm tread left I put it down to that.

Yesterday I got my tyres changed and had a poke around underneath. I have a snapped ball joint on the rear anti roll bar drop link. I obviously did this on the auto solo I did a few weeks ago but I haven't used the car much since.

Honda didn't have them in stock but can order them in but they are saying it's nearly £130 for the pair including the nuts.

If aftermarket ones are rubbish I will pay it but I would prefer to swap them today as I'm off work. Does anyone know a supplier near Farnborough that has stock of decent replacements?

I was disappointed with the cheap eBay specials if you're quick there's some OEM here

I'm currently working on making some all metal ones for my S, when complete I'll make a thread and if anyone is interested I'll happily make a set for them.

I considered starting a thread about this today as mines feeling really crashy on the bumps at the moment, I thought maybe a damper/spring had gone but don't know how to check other than sitting on the car and seeing how quick it pops back up lol. I'll check this now though - cheers.

You should check:

Tyre brand, wear, pressures.
Drop links
Dampers for leaks
Alignment

It'll likely be the first or last.

Once the tyres get old, the ride does tend to deteriorate markedly. One could always tell the S-02s had gone 'off' by that & the lack of grip.

New tyres are all soft & floaty & much quieter.

I got the ones from eBay that were from the Honda garage and genuine parts much better paying £70 for both rear drop links and new nuts than the £128 another Honda garage wanted.

Got them fitted this afternoon after having to angle grind all 4 of the old nuts.

The old one, the plastic cup had simply come out, guessing it just didn't like the force so gave up

I thought I'd resurrect this thread rather than start a new identical thread. I'm after a set of ARB drop links, I'll do all 4 while I'm doing them. Are the ones Daytona Dave posted up to it or is there an alternative option.

Also, anyone local to ongar with a grinder that would like to give me a hand. There's cakes in it. I was trying to get one of the rear suspension shocks back on and thought removing the ARB links would help. Whilst doing it the hex bit twisted and snapped, in the drop link and now the nut just twists so the drop link is stuck on but loose. Are there ARB drop links with flat sides on the rear so a spanner can be used to undo them rather than a hex bit?
