Default Izze air pump delete install

Hi all. I installed the izze air pump delete kit today and my CEL came on (wasn't on before). I live in Rowland Heights...anyone local have any experience with this mod?
P.S. I had no issues with air pump before, just trying to cut some weight and clean up engine bay.

Recheck your connections. Solder not wire nuts. Read the code and make sure it's not for something else like a gas cap.

I will recheck in the morning. I dont have a saucer gun, I was using the press on connecters that came with the kit.

Those half taps as they're called do work most of the time. Again, good luck and I'm sure it's just something simple.

Seriously, you can get a solder gun really cheap and it would work forever instead of for a while with half taps... You're asking for problems.

Yeap, re-check wiring and don't forget to disconnect the negative battery cable beforehand.

I also would recommend against the clip-on tap things. I had issues after trying to use them on my kit. I tried to wiggle them and dig the connectors into the wires to make sure the connectors were making contact with the wires, but I couldn't get them to work. I ended up removing them and splicing like I should have and using heat shrink wrap on them.
