Default Insurance Comparison Thread 2014 - Compare Quotes

Hi,

As you can guess from the title of the thread, im having some trouble getting quoted a fair renewal price.

I'm currently with admiral, who want 1,710. Ive been looking around and most insurance companies wont insure because of my age. ( 22 )

But seems to me every compare site i go on, '1st central insurance' comes up the cheapest, anyone dealt or with them ?

Wouldn't mind hearing from the younger members what companies you are with.

List of No Go all ready :-

Church hill, John lewis, Direct line, Quinn, Aviva, Co-op, M&S, adrin flux & club car insurance plus few more, all no go due my age. Also

I also would like to add, i have clean license, 5 years driving, 2 years no claims etc etc.

Any helpers ?

1,710!!!!

I am 21 and with 5 points on my license and I paid a tickle over £1100 last march! Suppose I do live out in the sticks though.

I am with Admiral, soon to have a joint policy with my other half. I have an agreed payment of £650 from march 28th which covers me until October 28 and they are giving me 2 years no claims for doing this. It means my policy is in line with hers then.

I would spam the comparison sites if I was you. I always find confused.com to be cheaper than comparethemeerkats.

Try Adrian Flux?

Sorry I cant help too much.

Mike

Thats OK

I get very hesitate around companies I know little about, the cheapest quote for me was a company called "good girl".....yeah I didn't go with them with a name like that.

Insurance can be flogged to death and revived so many times. There are so many factors considered that it is impossible to get the same quote as someone else.

Keep looking, I hope they don't fleece you out of too much money mate.

Try Sky insurance. There are a few under 25s on here as well so try doing a search and look through recent posts.

I've seen good girl pop up with me for a quote, i dismissed them as well do not worry.

On the plus side I have got the money sitting there to pay for it, but I'm not going to pay over the top. ( If you get what i mean )

Just out of interest I have noticed that payment in one sum is considerably cheaper than monthly installments.

Hi,

Might be better waiting for the call back or even trying them again.

My renewal from adrian flux was 1100quid and decided to go with Sky after a bit of shopping around. got it for 600quid in the end.

just to ad I'm 29 tho. on European licence.

Good luck with the search.
