Up on the Oregon Coast now. Great top down through the redwoods, Avenue of the Giants, and sea. Almost ran off the road looking up so much at the redwoods!

The biggest difference in sound reduction was from stuffing carpet padding into the interior panels and using the closed cell foam in the door panels. I bought Home Depot carpet padding (closed cell), and cut it up into 2x2" pieces... then I took the rear speaker out of the rear interior quarters (this was a Civic hatch), and stuffed them full. AMAZING difference... my sound system sounded competition quality after that and road noise was almost gone completely.
FWIW, my nice exhaust now could not be heard hardly at all in the cabin. No one wants drone, but the good sounding exhaust "song" was minimized, too.

I used the same paint, Second Skin Spektrum as the OP and it has helped quiet the noise down coming from the rear. Most of the noise now is from the trans tunnel and front engine area. I did not paint the base of the trunk, I applied the paint over the tank, spare tire area, top of the wheel wells and the bottom surface of the plastic trays behind the seats. I was replacing my soft top and all of this was easily accessible. I brushed 3 thick layers and it dried pretty fast in 85 degree temp. I started painting early morning and it was dry enough to install the soft top by 5 hours. Waiting around 1-2 hour per coat.
