Right here goes.

I have met with a few of the other NE members and we want to try and get a 'calendar' of event organised for 2015. There were several very good suggestions (listed below) all we would like at this stage is interest and availability (if know) just to try and get an idea of number etc. This has been a long process, I personally have been involved with the NE S2000 scene for coming up 2 years and numbers have steadily increased. The first meet attracted just 2 cars now we have about 7 active members. I know there are more out there so would like as many as possible - dare I even dream of one day having double figures. Of course we are not purely looking for NE members as all are welcome along, we are a friendly bunch after all.

So here are some of the ideas that are date specific:

1) BTCC -Donnington 18 to 19 April, Croft - 27 to 28 June, Knockhill - 22 to 23 August
2) Rallycross - Croft 15 March & 10 October
3) Stock (banger) car racing - Barnard Castle - 1st & 3rd Sunday of month March to August
4) Speedway - Newcastle Speedway Stadium - Every weekend April to September

Other suggestions:

1) Go-karting - several tracks e.g. Teeside and Warden Law
2) Track days - Croft - Will require noise testing and relevant PPE
3) Drives out- Routes to be confirmed but suggestions were: Moors, Kielder, Borders and Aulston - Plenty of other options
4) Nighttime drive - On longest day (or close to) around June drive out in Lake district.

Like I say these are just ideas at this stage we welcome all members and would appreciate input and feedback so can establish when and what is good for people. Doesn't even have to be car related ie could go paintballing. So if you have any suggestions or are interested in any of the mentioned events please comment below.

Already got my Calendar marked out for BTCC at Croft -

Go Karting - As always

Moors Cruise and BBQ will need me, as the meeting point is my house, and the BBQ is my house LOL

Night time/sunset is a deffo (20th Jun is Saturday night - Can Nico make it?)

Track Day - YES .

I've got to have holiday's in with all this too - and build a kitchen almost from scratch, as in replacing everyting, including the floor and walls, So the BBQ moors cruise will have to be before or after then

I appear to be free all weekends except Friday 15th May to the Sunday. Or 25th May as I have a date with the Foo Fighters. I work mondays to fridays but can get time off quite easily as long as it is not during school holidays - whenever they are.

Am up for drives etc and stuff that doesn't cost a canny wedge due to the wifes impending redundancy.

Anyone wanting track day's, I've now obtained a noise meter, so we can accurately test exhaust noise prior to booking.

It's accurate enough, Registered 93.4DB on my drive (with a bit of echo) Croft registered me as 93DB.

Well done Bikky, interest is on the up by the look of this thread.
