Default Transporting S2000 Cross-Country

I'm trying to transport my 04 S2000 from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, FL. I had everything lined up for the car to be picked up this week via an open transporter, but he called today asking if the car was lowered and of course, it is (Ap2 shocks and Swift Spec R's). He gave me a rundown of the process saying he highly recommends I get the car to 6" of ground clearance.

Now my issue is, according to various websites, they have a stock s2000 listed at 4.2" of ground clearance, so I have no idea how I am going to get it up to 6"

Has anyone had experience with open transports? Or should I just fork out the extra $300-400 and find myself an enclosed transport carrier.

Pics of my car added for reference to height. I measured the front lip to the ground being at 5" and my rear diffuser to ground at 5" as well. Undercarriage I'm sure is lower.

or pay someone to drive it cross country for you.

can't do that, an enclosed transport will be the absolute best option.

Search around the forums, the topic has been discussed extensively. I used Intercity Lines (http://www.intercitylines.com) for a cross-country move. Closed carrier, first class all the way. Also 100% set up for low cars because transporting race cars is one of their specialities - they use a flat elevator rather than ramps to load the car. I paid $1200 for Virginia to San Francisco. The peace of mind was worth every penny.

Yup, I've gone through all those threads already, my thread was more directed towards if people had issues getting up the ramps on an open carrier. I'd honestly love to use intercity lines, but they quoted me 2200 from San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, FL. Same with a few other very reputable enclosed transporting companies.

This is why the car came with spacers in the springs from the factory... Maybe someone has a set of those laying around that you could have?

cancelled with the open transport company and went with an enclosed company with Lift gate. Paid an extra few hundred, but I feel a lot better now.

I went with Alpine Transport, they have their own trucks, but due to my demands, they were able to contract it out to another company they deal with (Best Auto Movers)

Should be arriving in 4 days! Cant wait!

They open carrier I was going with wanted $900

I found an enclosed that originally quoted me $1500, but offered a 10% active duty military discount, so I'll only be paying $1350 once the car arrives.

No deposit was needed and payment is done cash upon delivery of the car.

Shout out to Alpine Transport and Best Auto Movers for the amazing work. Alpine Transport has their own trucks, but due to my demands, they were able to contract out to another company they trust and was able to get my car picked up the next day.

From San Diego, CA to Jacksonville, FL they delivered in 4 days, just got my car earlier this afternoon! Posted pics of my car being unloaded and some of the other cars that were inside the truck.
