Finally got the Valve Cover off the 2001 S2K 100K+ miles and I'm not sure if this engine has ever had the valves adjusted. Curious if the team could help me inspect the retainers and let me know which need to be replaced. Could these be the cause of copious oil leaks into the exhaust?

 

None of the pics are useful.

Get the camera down lower and get the top of the retainers where the keepers are. Camera lens only wants to be an inch higher that the retainer, get a side shot.

 

I uploaded the original pics to photobucket, but they don't view well on on my tablet. I'll get some better ones tomorrow. If you view on pc and they are still screwed, let ,everyone know.

 

Billman is correct. Ideally what you want to do is use a dental mirror like this. I just need to make a DIY video on this already.
