Inner Cover / Headliner for Soft Top
I've often thought the S roof was too thin & lacked some insulation. This might be the answer.
Saw this on the internet.
If the link doesn't work, follow these instructions:
1) Goto www.auco.de
2) click on ENTER SHOP
3) on the left hand side, click on HONDA
4) click on Honda Special
5) click on VERDECK hard- & softtop
6) click on Innenverdeck S2000 (pat.) | inner cover S2000
Was wondering what people's thought / comments were.
I've emailed the manufacturer, who is willing to offer a 10% discount for an order of 10 of more.
The model of the cover is dependant on the frame you have, not on the actual roof (for those who have a 2002 roof on a 2000 frame, you will need the 2000 model).
If there is enough interest, I might organise a Group Buy. Will work out final cost once I've determined the extent of the interest (if any !)
Ian (AE) - might be worth contacting them to see if they will offer S2KUK an additional discount.

Interesting - questions would be:
- presumably reduces wind noise? any idea how much?
- how easy is it to fit?
- presumably it doesn't interfere with the operation of the hood in any way?
- will it last?
I guess most people would like to hear answers to those.
Could be a winner if the answers are clear and positive...

Had a long hard look at the photo of this - I cant see how the roof could possibly fold down/up with this in place!
It looks like it covers all the frame hinges
- but def interested if it folds ok!

I've had the Auco interior hood lining on my car for the last three and half years.
It finishes off the interior, hiding all the roof struts and looking somewhat similar to the head lining of a saloon.
It also looks today as good as it was when first fitted.
Although wind and road noise is reduced, it's not by much. Bit difficult to quantify.
It does however increase insulation sufficiently to render a hard top redundant except perhaps in the most extreme conditions. But then, nobody is likely to be out in an S in that sort of weather in any case!
It doesn't in any way interfere with the operation of the hood and folds down fully. It is quite easy to fit.
Hope that answers most questions
All in all I thought it was well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone.

My old man has an XK8 with a roof lining and its distgustingly dirty. It feels like a tramps underwear (I assume - never experienced this I must add)
Its nice in principle/looks but stick with the original its easier to clean.
