Don't bother mate, just buy new and be done with it. You can get exchange units for about £100 or 'low mileage' second hand ones on ebay. I've just changed 2 and rebuilt one - not cheap.

There are a set of EBC ones in the classifieds.

I had a sticky caliper diagnosed by Guiness and TINTOP recently and have booked my car in to a local garage tomorrow to get it sorted. I wasn't expecting a bill like that though. I'll let you know what they charge me

All this talk of sticky calipers has got me paranoid now, every time I drive I check for abnormal temps.

On balance and for the sake of balance I would change a pair and not one, but the cost of the rears is very high from where ever, I suppose its because of the added complication of the handbrake operation being integral

Replacing a caliper is easy. Just the next level up from swapping brake pads.

I have spare calipers in the garage all in working order for such an event got them cheap from a breaker

The independent will be less costly than main dealer They may be able to refurbish the caliper, there are kits to do so available.

Keyfobs £130 Buy an ebay one and get it programmed
