Want to add tweets to MY00...HELP PLZ
Hey guys,
well MY00 has no tweets (I know you know) and im thinking of buying AP2 panels with the tweet grill available.
Some questions
1)what size tweet should I buy/whats a good aftermarket tweet to put there?
2)can I use my old lower speaker with that AP2 panel/should I just get new ones/which kind do you guys like/whats the size?
3)Where would I wire my new tweets to?
Can I tap into the lower speaker or do I need to fish wire back to the radio. Since the radio is the MY00 stock radio can it take tweets or do I need to buy a new head unit/get a AP2 headunit
Sorry for the many questions but im kinda dumb founded when it comes to audio stuff.
Thanks guys

a proper sound stage is suppose to give you the stereo seperation and the effect the sound is coming from in front of you like at a concert.
mounting the tweeters on door panel (like factory does) places the drivers speaker much closer to driver (most of the time thats who the stereo systems are designd for) so you get a stronger left side sound, by mounting the speakers in a pillars and aiming them so they reflect off the windshiled just under the mirror, you now wont get the strong one side only sound, and now the sound stage is up in front of you where it is suppose to. Another advantage i have found by placing speakers there is in a convertable you sound is more audiable at lower volumes. thats my 2 cents, i competede years in isca and also judged sound quality and install. These are common practices in high quality systems trying to get the best sound posible.

I dont want to be cutting up or drilling holes in my pillar
Do you guys hook up the tweets to the 6.5" in the door? or find a spot on the radio?

well that kidon it, there on a pillar, not flush mounted, not aimed correctly, most componets come with a cross over, feed from amp, splits to 6.5 and tweeter.
