Default Tuning for my New Setup

I recently installed a Greddy SE Single along with a 70 mm Berk HFC. I loaded the "Toda header" tune yesterday and it helped tremendously (car actually felt slower than stock on the low cam before I did that, you can really feel that the low cam doesn't provide enough airflow for the bigger exhaust). I'm going to be doing some datalogging today to make sure this tune is satisfactorily safe for DDing and the occasional spirited driving (I don't need the tune to be perfect, I just want it to be safe AFR wise). I also have a Mugen replica intake if that makes any difference, I think it does lower the IATs significantly.

What should I be looking for as far as AFRs in my datalogs? Anything else I need to take into consideration?

Thanks!

Swift just make sure youre not too much in the high 14s during vtec and high rpms, my 05 ap2 likes it on the richer side, im usually between 13-14afr in my rpm range.

Should I be looking at normal AFR or corrected? Looks like it is running a little rich because my peak is 13.6 (14.3 Corrected) @ 3300 RPM. Most of the rest is in the 12's and 11's in a few areas. Do I need to worry about being too rich or is that ok for the engine long term?

Target high 12s. 12.8 seems to give a good amount of power.

Just FYI, I have a similar setup, and I picked up ~20 peak WHP over the TODA tune when I got mine dyno tuned.
The midrange HP and Torque pickups were amazing.

My VTEC engagement is also higher than the TODA tune due to the lack of a testpipe. I think mine is actually higher than a lot of people here, but it showed no improvement on the dyno by lowering it. We did 13+ full runs on the dyno, with a bunch of lower end runs working on VTEC and mid-range.

Wow, 20 peak huh? Are you running the stock header?

That's strange about the VTEC engagement, because mine seems like it could still come a little lower (I still feel a "bump" in power when it engages).

Yup, stock header. Just the 63.5mm Berk HFC and a Greddy Ti-C single.
If you shoot me a PM with your email I'd be more than happy to email you a copy of the dyno sheet. Its a night and day difference in power.

I thought it was odd when he told me that VTEC was at something like 5400. We ran it a few times on the dyno to play with it and saw no reason to lower it as we weren't gaining anything.

*edit: Where are you located?

The size of the HFC cam make a difference as well. Changes in direction and diameter of the piping at different lengths from the runners create pressure waves that change the efficiency of the exhaust.

That is kinda high for having a HFC from what I have seen.

^Most of the stuff that I've seen has put it lower as well, but most of those people aren't running the car on a dyno. Not saying thats good or bad, but we were able to sit there and make consistant runs for about 2 hours playing with the tune.

I'm extremely happy with the amount of power I'm making considering the lack of mods. I got it tuned by Mase, and his work on my car speaks volumes.

BTW, I'll go home and check the tune, but I'm pretty sure I'm remembering correctly.

from where did most of that power came (AFR or timing ) ?
