Default FS: Science of Speed Billet Twin Carbon Clutch

Clutch is now SOLD!

Located in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle WA.

Selling my Science of Speed Billet Twin Carbon Clutch. I had the clutch on my car for a few thousand miles and decided I couldn't live with the extra noise.
The pedal effort is close to stock and the engagement isn't half bad for a clutch that holds a huge amount of power, but the free-floating plate rattle when the pedal is to the floor, and the deceleration buzz was too much. This clutch would be absolutely perfect for someone with a very high HP track or street car with no care about extra mechanical noise.

List price for this clutch is $2,395.00, but I am only asking $1,000 for this kit due to the fact that it's 1.) used and 2.) doesn't come with the release and pilot clutch bearings or the alignment tool.

I also have an Exedy stage 3 clutch setup that I'll probably be selling soon if anyone is interested (I didn't like that one either)...Paid $1,697.73 for it and used it for only a couple hundred miles, but I'll let it go for the same price as the SoS Billet Twin Disk ($1,000).
Ended up settling on the basic SoS sport clutch... hopefully I'll be happy this time.

I own a twin disc and they aren't THAT loud- at least from my experiences. I think they are perfectly bearable. And they feel so good- like stock!

Whoever picks this up will never have a clutch issue due to power Again- EVER! This is a good sale.

what happened to the release and pilot clutch bearings? How can I use that clutch if I have no way of getting parts to replace them? I looked at the SOS website and doesn't show to purchase the parts seperately

I checked out sos's site right after i saw this to see how much the clutch disks were- too bad they don't list them seperately. I was debating trying to sell my nib comp clutch segmented kevlar to pick this up. does this use oem pilot and throwout bearings or are they specific to this clutch.

I called SoS today and was told that the pilot and release bearings are available. The pilot bearing is the same as stock, and is the same price as stock, but the release bearing is a special unit modified by their supplier and goes for "around $250."

That said, I believe I have the clutch sold, but I'm waiting for the deal to go through... I'll mark the thread as sold once I actually know for sure that it will be paid for.
