Default Hugely annoying rattle fixed

So I just thought I'd tell anyone that's interested, I have had a utterly annoying rattle for some time that was getting worse and I managed to track it down by parking the car and letting the clutch up with the brake on. This lagged the engine and made the vibration start. Then poked around a bit (with a golf club... maybe not a great tool) and found it was the exhaust pipe.

Being lazy I took it to the Honda garage and it was apparently 4 bolts missing from the heat shield and hey presto it is now all better. Hooray!

Actually, not a very interesting story now I come to re-read it....

Where did you hear the rattle from? I have a metallic/glass rattle from behind the driver's seat. I say glass because it reminds me of the sound of glass valves in a guitar amp. Is that similar to what you were hearing?

Have you checked the spare wheel fixing bolt?

That's likely to be the spare wheel (if it's there). Tighten the bolt.

Yea I did check the spare wheel some time ago. Thanks for the suggestion though. I will take more time to check the car all over.

To those asking what this sounds like, it sounds just like two bits of metal knocking together
Probably about 5 knocks per second.

Mine was happening when pulling away from standstill, and then again at about 4K revs.
