My car is a pig... about the only weight reduction is a light weight battery and me losing 20lbs off my ass. I'm thinking I might put a little focus on that, but I really like my booming stereo/sub during the off season.

I think you missed the point of the thread. You're not in STR and your car is probably heavier than a stock prepped one...

I though the point of this tread is to show your weight saving set up and to see if you can find ideas for weight reduction by talking with other people.

Therefore , I posted my set up when I was in str and I have not seen people run an alum driveshaft so I'm putting it out there for other people to try and test.

I am now in ssm with my s/c so yes I am heavier . But I still value the str set up very much and there is a host ofu knowledge for str suspension/alignment info that interests me.

I find weight reduction threads are most useful if all weights posted are with a full tank of fuel because this is the easiest condition to duplicate.

May also be helpful to post how your weight was obtained.

Random1, do you have accurate baseline stock weight?

But...this modification is not legal within the rule set of STR, which is the focus of this thread.

Lol. Exactamundo. I'm going to leave it for a little bit, but then going to edit out the non-STR discussion if people don't mind.

Does anybody have a verified difference in weight between an AP1, an AP2V2, and a CR (-39lbs I believe?). The lightest STR prep AP1 I've seen is the one that was 2nd at 2011 nationals at 2580lbs. Curious if the AP2V2 is capable of 2600 or is a 2650 car or...?

Thank you,
Mark (potential new STR entrant)

Was that weight verified at nationals?
