OEM 2 Piston Caliper Upgrade? Thougts on this project.
So I had my 04 V6 Accord for a good while as a project car and did a lot of things to it. One of the things that I was supposed to do was to install the Dual Piston CR-V or Acura Legen Calipers up front. They are 90% direct fit.
Something like this
http://www.preludepower.com/forums/s...d.php?t=343434
Now the v6 Accord's brake calipers are quite a bit bigger than the s2000 yet the mounting brackets are direct swap. Once that is done, the calipers can be mounted on the s2000. As this member has done
http://s2000.com/forums/all-other-ho...brake-kit.html
Now here is my plan.
Get my Accord's Caliper Brackets,
Order Brand new Dual Piston Calipers ( Acura Legend preferrably)
Install both on the s2000.
Install the S2000 brakes on Accord.
This way, I will get both bigger surface area and will be working with 4 pistons total in the front, instead of 2. What do the Brake Gurus think?

Test fitted Racing Brakes 2 Piece Rotors on the S2000 today. The Rotor are 25mm taller and 3mm wider than the stock S2000 rotors. The RB rotors are 324mm x 28mm, with NSX calipers. I looked every where on the forums and I could not find, anything clear info if the caliper would fit the S2000. They fit, I had to shimm the Caliper bracket 4mm.
Clears the Volks 28n with about 5mmm
Racing Brake on the Left and S2000 on the Right.
Racing Brake 324mm rotor with NSX Caliper
I really can't tell the differences from the stock S2000 brakes.

I saw the NSX upgrade on, I think a Prelude. And was thinking about doing the same kind of rotor upgrade too. So no difference at all?
I heard from people that had done the Accord (just bigger single piston) caliper upgrade, thatthe initial bite is decreased yet the overall braking is better, and stops faster due to more surface area of the pads. I will try them since I have both cars, and can easily do it on a weekend

Thanks Afzan, that was the thread that actually brought this idea to my mind. And then I wanted to be more creative and make it a 2pot caliper. Well I guess, I will just have to get both cars running, order the 2 pot calipers and try them on.
Worst thing, I can put them back to where I started
