Baffled oil pan/Accusump?

Default Baffled oil pan/Accusump?

Hey everybody, I'm just starting to track my Honda regulary and was wondering if anyone uses these? Some say that oil starvation is not an issue on our cars and some disagree. I Plan on tracking this car for a looooong time

Baffle here

Anyone track a lot and run accusump? Id like to know.

I use baffle too.

Accusump is for

"Accusumps are oil reservoirs that connect to the engine's oiling system. They are designed collect pressurized oil from your engine and store it so it may be discharge when oil pressure is low. Our Accusump Oil Accumulators deliver oil before starting to eliminate dry start scuffing (pre-oiling) and discharge oil during low oil pressure surges to protect against engine damage during demanding racing conditions. Our Accusump Turbo-Oilers deliver oil to turbos after shut down to lubricate and cool hot turbo components and prevent coke build up and turbo damage."

Baffle oil pan is to prevent oil starvation from lateral and longitudinal g-force.

If you are planning to track your car, I highly recommend to get baffle oil pan to prevent oil starvation

After I spent 6K on a new motor when I spun a bearing at Buttonwillow, I got a baffled oil pan. Cheap insurance.

Baffled oil pan here but still spun a bearing. I wasn't running an oil cooler though--my 3rd engine is getting one.

Just a word of caution... I lost a motor due to a poorly constructed oil pan baffle. Part of the baffle broke off and was sucked up against the oil pickup, causing oil starvation and toasted bearings. If you're going to use a baffle, I'd recommend pulling the pan every offseason to inspect for cracks/broken welds/etc.

i use an accusump on my turbo s2000 on the track. it the 2 quart with a 30-45 psi switch i think i forgot. ive had it on the car for 2 years. i run no baffle but i think im going to get a baffle to. but right now i know the accusump is good for over 13 seconds of oil pressure if it sees it go under 45 psi in a hard turn.

i have a mugen oil pan, pwr 55mm radiator with internal oil cooler and a 2 quart canton accusump with 35-45 psi electrical switch.
