Default FS: Canon 5D Classic (MKI) with extras

It saddens me to do this but I'm selling my 5D classic that I felt really helped me develop my photography. I upgraded to a 5D2 since I've wanted to get my feet wet in DSLR video. Unfortunately I cannot justify keeping three bodies so this has to go hopefully to someone who will appreciate how awesome the 5D classic is.

This sale will include the 5D Classic Body with both screens protected by Zagg screen protectors charger and accessories (box too), BG-E4 grip, 2 original Canon batteries, grid screen, hoodman eye cup (I lost the original eye cup during a shoot but this one is really a great replacement). The body is in great condition, just a tiny dot or blemish above the CF compartment. I had a grip on it all the time so the grip took most of the wear. The bottom of the grip in particular got scuffed a bit when I decided I wanted to place the camera on a stone wall to take a photo not realizing the bottom would scratch up (oh well, lesson learned).

Everything is in great working order. Mirror fix has been done. I am the second owner. Previous owner said this was a backup camera and had around 8,000 clicks on it. I put on no more than another 10,000 (I don't shoot professionally, this is just a hobby for me) so it's got maybe 18K clicks on it. Grid screen is a bit dirty (doesn't show up in the photos) but doesn't bother me. If it bothers you, the original blank screen is included in the box of course.

I'm looking for $800 picked up! I just want my camera to go to a good new home.

To see photos I've taken with this camera, please visit my flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/steguis). Most of my photos were taken with the 5D except for all the motorsports shots which are shot with my 1D MKII.

Do it Clyde. This is dirt cheap. This plus a 50 1.4 is all you need.

Have you tried B&H. I hear they buy back stuff and offer really good money for it or trade for upgrade.

What is the mirror fix? Never had an issue with my 5Ds. Man I really do miss taking photos.

Yeah Clyde you've got a great eye...use it. The mirror fix is a known issue where the mirror detaches from the shutter. It's a free fix from Canon, you send the body in and they put reinforcements in on the sides of the mirror to prevent it from popping out.

Bump for a good camera and grip worth 200$ alone.
