Acura NSX US car sales figures
269 sold for 2016. I know one of those is at my local dealer so I don't think that number reflects end consumers.

A lot of the dealers took the allocations and mostly ordered high spec cars with the intent of grabbing market adjustment money on top of some max MSRPs.
Only a few early adopters took the bait.
A lot of cars are thus sitting on store floors.

Finally got to see the new NSX in the flesh. Pretty cool to me, but my girlfriend thought (who is not into cars) the NSX was "trying too hard to look like a Lotus Evora" and wasn't impressed at all...
We did both really like the new DB11. Sitting inside that car is something special. The smell of the leather in that is just beyond description! Just enough Benz running gear to make it "modern" but not looking like they raided the parts bin. Lots of Aston engineering went to make those parts "their own".

Sorry, the NSX has no resemblance to an Evora which has the look and build quality of something a Boy Scout troop could put together on a weekend.

Yeah I don't see any resemblance between an Evora & the new NSX.

It never fails, you'll jump at any opportunity to extol the virtues of any British car or recommend a junky Alfa Romeo whenever possible.

I did not say I did not like the NSX or find the styling to be "me too" or the like... You should re-read some of my earlier posts where I quite like the NSX design and what they are offering... Also, if you look at the current crop of "super cars" (Ford GT, NSX, Ferrari 488, etc...) many share similar design elements for handling the air. Evora was probably the first of this crop, but many cars since are similar in that regard since. So, if someone was not "into" cars (girlfriend), they would group a lot of the similarities in the same ethos of car design.
Does the NSX look closer to a Vette, Viper, or 911? Not at all, but that wasn't the comparison. If you think a boy scout troop or you & your mates could put together an Evora or something remotely close in a weekend; then there is a lot of employment opportunities for you. Many of those firms & manufacturers are our customers and I am sure they could use your genius.
If you prefer an NSX to a DB11, that's great! Not everyone should want or drive the same car.

Considered an NSX when it first released. Local dealer wanted "only" 35k mark up. Told him to go screw himself cause I wasn't paying a cent over MSRP. Same dealer calls me two weeks ago to asks me if I would take it at MSRP. lol.
