Default looking for some advice after accident

Hey everyone, I'm fairly new here. I just picked up my LBP s2k over the summer. It was in perfect condition with only 25k mi on it. I don't even get to drive it much but of course one of the few times I do, someone hits me. The other driver claims she didn't see me in her blind spot, changes into my lane as I'm passing her on the right and clips the back of my car. Damage to the rear quarter panel, wheel and bumper. I'm so upset. I really wanted to keep it in perfect condition and now it's tarnished. Waiting to hear back from insurance.

Any recommendations where I should take it for repair? Can I take it anywhere or do I have to go where insurance tells me to go? I'm in the Stoneham/Melrose area but can go wherever for top quality work. I'm concerned about paint matching. Is it going to be noticeably off from the rest of the car?

Also, can I get any diminished value from this? It's not like a super rare car, but I still feel like the combination of color, condition and low mileage makes it harder to find and adds value. But how do I explain this to insurance who probably doesn't know as much about our cars? Any ideas at all at how much I can get?

Thanks.

Diminished value is tough but it can be done.

Look for gofast182 in NY Metro, he made it happen for him.

To answer your questions

My go to shop is Sansossio Auto Couture in Natick.

You are allowed to go to any shop of your choosing for repair. Paint matching should not be an issue for any capable shop and will even less noticeable if when they blend it.

Diminished value will be hard to get but you can definitely try and argue for it
