Default Paint Nubie, metal, CF, fiberglass

Hey I do not know anything about types of paint. My S has a carbon fiber hood(fading to yellow), black front fiber glass fenders, and the rest is LBP. What is the best to cover all these different surfaces, urethane, enamel, or lacquer? I want my color one again!

I think most autobody shops are using a waterborne base with a 2K clear. Or maybe a newer paint technology?
The finish is perfected by the prep work beneath the paint.

Quality work has gone through the roof in pricing due to overhead and material cost but pretty much any S2K deserves to look her best.

if you are painting the whole car thats one thing. but a good respray should cost you nearly a grand on clear coat alone. a suv or wagon should be a least a grand on clear coat or you are getting shitting paint. if they skip out on paint, imagine how bad their prep could be?

all that said, ask them if they will spray just the hood and the fenders. no blending. they are just going to have to shoot a ton of test panels to get the color match spot on
