Terrible noise form the rear side
Hy S2k-guys.
I have a problem with my S2000 and I need your help. Since yesterday I hear a noise at the rear left knuckle. Please watch the attached video, there you can hear it. At first I checked the brake, because the disc on the rear side is getting hot. I dismantled the brake and clean it. Then the brake was good, but the noise was still here. I also test all bearings and bushes and they have no clearance. The noise is getting louder when I drive a right corner. When I drive straight I also hear it. When I drive a left corner I don’t hear it. Does anybody have knows this problem?
As I have the S2000 on the hydraulic lift I see that the diff flanges have clearance. See here…
What do you think about this problem? Is the diff damaged?
Sorry for my english. I’m from austria. Maybe it sounds a little bit strange for you, but I hope you understand all
Thanks for your help.

That sounds pretty nasty. If you haven't yet done so, bang the heat shield back away from the rotor so you can be sure there is no contact between the two. Also check the brake pad butterfly springs to make sure they are seated in the caliper bracket and aren't rubbing.
