If your scoop is bolted to the hood.

Facing forward shinny day , rain comes , on bolt , rotate , re bolt , back on track

purchased a sti hood scoop replica to bolt on, will face the driver fender

haha it was purely a result of what scoops i could find on ebay that fit the dimensions of the hole i cut

Are you going to isolate the air horns from the under hood air/heat? If not, I can see hot under hood air having higher pressure than the inlet of the scoop at speed. In that case the air will move from the under hood to out of the scoop at speed.
Really like the project so far, function over form is always better on the track. Form over function is sometimes better for the car shows. I like the track.

yes i plan to put some sheet metal behind the rad and supported by the cross member that vents up out the hood. currently the car has a naca duct in the middle of the hood that i intend to remove.

once the scoop is in place im going to do some string tests and see how the air flows before i do the sheet metal
